This pizza was honestly such a hit. It’s a classic that you think would never be replicable in a Vegan Form but low and behold, we’ve done it. I don’t typically eat mock meats but for occasions like this, they can be pretty fun! Feel free to switch the mock meat out for some barbequed jackfruit or your favourite meat alternative instead of the one’s I’ve listed here.
1 Green Pepper
Beyond Meat beefless crumbles, burger patty, or Italian sausage*
Trader Joe’s Soy Chorizo or another vegan chorizo
Vegan Bacon bits (accidentally vegan or a vegan alternative)**
Optional: Chili flakes for topping
That Dough by Hot for Food (Find it HERE)
Vegan mozza Sauce by The School Night Vegan (Find it HERE)
Cook beyond meat and soy chorizo as per cooking instructions
Make pizza Dough
Make mozza sauce
Dice green peppers to desired thickness
Roll out crust on greased pizza pan sprinkled with corn meal, brush edges with olive oil and top with more corn meal
Cover base with tomato sauce, toppings, and top with mozza sauce
Bake at 350F for 15 minutes, then broil until the mozza starts to bubble and brown slightly (about 3-5 minutes). Keep an eye on it because it does happen quite quickly!
